About Carrie
My Story
Hi! My name is Carrie, I’m a 55-year-old mom of two daughters and two dogs living in beautiful Southwest Florida. With a background of competing in fitness competitions and working with some of the best coaches and trainers in the business in my 20s, I gained some invaluable knowledge and understanding when it comes to the fundamentals of exercise and nutrition. I also completed my Personal Training certification at the time, however, decided not to pursue that as a career and ended up working in the Custom Home Building Industry for the past 30+ years, including obtaining my Building Contractor’s License.
I was able to maintain a fit physique most of my life, however in my mid 40’s I found myself seeing an image in the mirror I no longer recognized. Life changes such as divorce, busy school and sports schedules with the kids, purchasing and maintaining my own home, and feeling that I had no time resulted in a complete lack of exercise and poor nutrition which led to the loss of the self-confidence I once had and a feeling of hopelessness that my best physical self was now a thing of the past.
With some inspiration from social media and feeling that I hit rock bottom, I decided to do something about it and signed up for an online program that I could follow from home. Eighteen months later I hired my first one on one coach and it was the best decision I could have made because it helped me to get back into shape I was in my 20s, just in time for my 50th Bday and it felt amazing to prove that age is no barrier to being my best self. After that, I signed on as an Accountability Coach with her team and recruited over 40 women, and that’s when I realized just how passionate I was about helping others achieve their goals. I decided to soak up all the knowledge I could about Macro Nutrition, obtained my Certification in the field, and began my own Macro Nutrition Coaching business.

I’m 63 years old and decided I needed to get back in the gym and make my health and body a priority. I hit it hard in the gym 5 days a week, lifting weights and doing 30 minutes on the treadmill for 8 months and seeing little progress. I kept hearing ‘you can’t out-train a bad diet’, so I started the keto diet and that didn’t do anything for me. I was hungry because I tried to stay at 1200 calories a day thinking that would finally show me some results.

I officially started working with Coach Carrie on May 1, 2023. I’m in the gym 5 days a week following the workout routine provided by her and ensuring I’m getting in 10k steps or more. Coach Carrie is teaching me what it means to track my macros and to make healthy food choices.
Yes, I’m seeing results! I have lost 3.5 inches in my waist, 2 inches in my legs, and additional inches all over my body. I’ve gone down one size in my clothes! I’m eating 1,704 calories at this stage with the correct mix of carbs, fat and protein. I’m so motivated to finally see results and Coach Carrie is teaching me how to be successful and to not let the scale define me.

I’ve been a personal trainer for 30 years, but at almost 60 I had lost some of my drive. I’m 53 and started with Carrie in June 2022. I’ve gone back and forth mentally about spending money on a trainer. It was the best decision of my life!! I use to run marathons & triathlons, was super fit about 15-20 years ago. Each time I tried to get back in shape it was a total yoyo process – with undereating then overeating, quick fix pills… All the while thinking I got this well I clearly didn’t. By early 2022 I was the biggest and most unhealthy that I’d ever been. My knees and hips hurt so bad, I coul not do a squat, lunges or even a child’s pose.

One year in Ive lost a solid 25 lbs [182 to 157] and I feel healthy. The time really did fly by. I love being able to wear old clothes from the back of my closet. Plus I have these beautiful muscles! Im wearing shorts in public and may never wear sleeves again lol. My hips and knees feel so much better. I can do lunges and a FULL squat with weights. I feel like a warrior in the gym such a huge amount of confidence. Carrie was FUNDIMENTAL to my results. And Im not done!!! Looking forward to year 2 not only to slim down a little more but I totally enjoy the healthy lifestyle.

How are the calorie and macro adjustments made throughout the program?
Calorie and macro adjustments are made based on your weekly progress and biofeedback like mood, stress levels, and sleep patterns. Those in a fat loss phase will receive regular carb cycling plans to help prevent metabolic adaptations or plateaus and to ensure you keep progressing towards your goals. The numbers are provided on the weekly check in call and I’ll walk you through how to program your goals into the My Fitness Pal App.
What happens after the first 12 weeks of the program?
